When GT Packaging & Janitorial was founded, industrial/janitorial supplies weren’t part of our product/service offerings. However, our first full-time employee had an extensive history working in industrial/janitorial supplies. Once he presented the idea, along with the growth opportunities, we decided to go for it. Five years later, to support the growth of this new division, we acquired a small janitorial supplies distributor in Traverse City. As part of the acquisition, we retained two of the company’s full-time salespeople to represent us and distribute additional janitorial product lines, making us even more competitive. Today, we proudly serve more than 1,200 customers in northern Michigan, from Ludington to the Mackinac Bridge, with on-demand industrial/janitorial supplies.
